3 Minutes in Heaven –
a Tangodocumentary
Why do people Tango nowadays? Why do they go through the really exhausting process of learning how to Tango for years? (One is forced to do that before it is even possible to dance without killing somebody on the dance floor) Why is Tango so special? Is there a worldwide common ground? Is it maybe the longing to be touched in the 21st Century – a time where our bodies and our feelings are dominated by electronic devices, information overload and non-personal communication? ? The film asks these questions. Tango dancers give insight into their motives and tell their own and personal Tango stories. Throughout a year we travel along with Diana Del Valle and Juan Camerlingo, one of the famous professional Tango couples and gain deep insight into the fascinating Tango scene worldwide.

Diana Del Valle & Juan Camerlingo
Diana del Valle was born in Buenos Aires. Since her early youth she is a ballett dancer and graduated at
“Escuela Nacional de Danzas” in Buenos Aires. She started dancing Tango in 1999.
Juan Camerlingo was also born and bred in Buenos Aires and started dancing Tango in 1997. After being
certified as a sports teacher he met Diana whilst studying Tango at “Universidad del Tango” in Buenos Aires.
Both of them graduated in the “Dinzel International System”. Together they appeared on stage in several
performances, eg. “Orquesta de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires” and as the first ballett couple of the “Universidad del Tango”.
In 2003 Juan and Diana where invited to attend the 2. International Tangofestival in Stuttgart and after that
stayed in Germany. From here they tour the Tango scenes around the globe. In 2013 they welcomed their first child.
